Ichthyol 9.8% ointment

Apply a small amount of ointment directly to the blemish to be treated two to three times daily, making sure to cover the area with sterile gauze.

Avoid exposure to sunlight after application. Prolonged use may cause irritation or sensitization. The product has a characteristic pungent odor and may stain clothing. Do not apply to nasal mucous membranes, lips and eyes and do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The use of ichthyol has been shown to be incompatible with acids, alkalis, iron salts and alkaloids. For this reason, it is advisable to stop using ichthyol ointment when taking medicines containing these elements. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with water and seek medical advice if necessary. Avoid release to the environment. Avoid falls, impacts and mishandling that may cause product spillage. Store in a cool, dry place away from heat sources.
